CLANTON –The Alabama Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) is hosting a Tri-State Preparedness Summit today. Emergency management staff from Florida and Georgia are meeting with Operations and Preparedness personnel from Alabama.
The focus of this meeting is on increasing preparedness for a variety of disasters throughout our region. Emergency managers will be sharing their best practices regarding planning for natural and man-made disasters as well as preparing responders.
“Sharing information and ideas with neighboring states helps AEMA move toward our goal of a disaster resistant Alabama," said AEMA Director Brock Long. “This is a part of the ongoing process of working with our neighbors to improve life and safety in Alabama.”
