MONTGOMERY, AL - Governor Bob Riley and Dr. Tommy Bice, Deputy State Superintendent of Education, will brief the press on Friday at 10 a.m. about Alabama's application for “Race to the Top” funds. Alabama and 39 other states are competing for a share of $4.3 billion in federal education funds under Race to the Top.
The event will take place in the State Department of Education briefing room, Gordon Persons Building room P-103B.
