WHAT: Jumpstart’s Read for the Record Campaign - A national and statewide campaign to promote early childhood literacy and to encourage children and adults to read the same book – Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar – on the same day.
WHEN: Thursday, October 8, 2009 - Jumpstart’s Read for the Record kicks off on the TODAY show. Then, Alabama public schools will help break the world record for the largest shared reading experience.
