MONTGOMERY— Workers at a Talladega health care facility are learning new job skills with the help of a $27,050 grant awarded by Gov. Robert Bentley.
Talladega Healthcare Center Inc. is training 24 employees in techniques to improve efficiency and organization at the facility, which offers long-term nursing care and rehabilitation services.
The company is contributing $28,856 toward the training cost. Alabama Technology Network is providing the training on-site over a 12-month period.
The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs is administering the grant from funds made available by the U.S. Department of Labor. ADECA manages an array of programs supporting law enforcement and traffic safety, economic development, energy conservation, workforce development, water resource management and recreation development.
Bentley notified Mary Tuberville of Talladega Healthcare Center that he had approved the grant.
